HS Volleyball Tryouts:
You MUST have a completed physical packet to try out
- Upon arrive of 2-a-days, you need to at least be trying or practicing the following to the best of your ability:
- 9 minute mile
- squat jumps
- sit ups, crunches, or planks
- wall sets, wall passes, wall down balls
- pass to self, set to self…fast tempo and medium tempo
- ladder footwork
- approach, passing, and blocking footwork
- If you have access to a volleyball net, serving and passing will greatly increase your skills and overall ability
- Dead Period is June 26-July 7
- We will begin 2-a-days on July 10th from 9:00-11:00 & 12:00-2:00. THIS IS OUR FIRST WEEK FOR TRAINING…BE PREPARED!
- Team Camp is July 19-21 at Eagleville. You will be facilitating and playing all 3 days. Plan accordingly.
- Team Fee- we will NOT have a team fee this year. We are planning on opening an online volleyball store for parents to purchase shoes, warm-ups, and backpacks
- You will be responsible for purchasing your own knee pads and black spandex
- DISTRICT TOURNAMENT is Oct. 2-3…these are the first two days of fall break…PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
